The blue-headed boy stared upon his teacher with hard eyes, listening to every word. It still sounded strange, but at least he knew more than before.
A Sacrifice... a martyr...
Were these "guests" the same way?
"F-father, is that why they're here?" Subconsciously, Mako backed towards the elder man. "Do they want to fight us?"
The white-haired male who was licking the leftover minty green sherbet from his hand smirked in mid-lick, eyed the blue-haired Sacrifice. "You catch on quick." That smirk grew devilish, aggressive. "And you better be ready, 'cause we ain't letting you get away."

The priest nodded solemnly, not taking his eyes off the intruding pair. His gaze was fierce and cold as he shook his head, fingertips grazing over the small golden cross 'round his neck. The teal-headed one made him uncomfortable, the way those steely little eyes stared at the blue-haired kitten, and the earless one just unnerved him with that heinous smile of his.
"if you do have intentions of fighting, Ando-kun and myself will take no part, but more importantly..."
His voice, stern, cold.
"Who are you two? And why have you come here to wage a senseless battle against us? We have no qualms with any others, so why do you invade this sacred establishment?"
"Heh, t'at's easy, really easy of a question. Sucks I ain't gonna tell you though, ain't it?"
The room started to darken ever so slightly.

"You sure use a lotta big words, Faithless." The white-haired male uttered, digging into a left pocket. "You think you can keep that up?" The plasticky wrapper of a once-clothed green lolly fluttered to the floor in abandon, its owner being shoved into the greedy male's mouth.
"I bet I can put up a good fight even with my mouth full."
The words were garbled by the traumatized sucker trembling between his lips.
Makoto backed his way completely behind his dark-haired Fighter, suddenly feeling an odd sort of fear. Fighting... That was something he had never experienced. This all was completely new. He wasn't sure if he could handle it right now. His uneasiness was becoming more and more obvious as time passed.

"Do not fear them," the voice was calm, soothing, gentle, "they are nothing but petty fools."
A surprisingly strong arm wrapped tightly around the blue-haired kitten's shoulders, drawing him into a shielding embrace against the side of the priest's body. How odd it was that this man, who seemed to loathe him with a passion, was now protecting him from whatever was going to take place. Then again, this whole situation was pretty odd.
"I gave you a warning not to engage us, but I'm afraid I have no choice but to combat you."
Especially odd when the Father, glaring at the other two, begun to speak strangely.
"Be not merciful unto them that offend of malicious wickedness..." A strange light appeared 'round Father Juujika's fingertips.
"They grin like a dog and run about through the city..." The light was as beautiful as it was terrifying.
"But thou, O Lord, shalt have them in derision. Thou shalt laugh all the heathen to scorn!" The light flashed once, then rocketed towards the teal-headed kitten, who squeaked in alarm. Like angry fireflies, the lights shot at the Osakan's wrist, smashing into the flesh with a soft hissing sound.
A glowing chain appeared a few seconds later.
"Tch," the boy looked at his wrist, "you're dirty, JuuJuu!"

The white-haired male grimaced, the feeling of that hot, white shackle sending waves of burning pain into his own wrist. They already had one restriction. He hadn't expected this at all.
"Heh," he forced a smirk, albeit it was tinged with discomfort, outrage. "You're tougher than I gave ya credit for."
But it wouldn't last.
Makoto stared at the scene before him with wide eyes, still pressed against his teacher's body. He was a bit stunned, maybe even more than stunned, yet who could blame him? All of this was so strange and new and rather shocking. Sacrifices, spell battles, a world he knew nothing of yet was suddenly being immersed in... Maybe this was all a dream he would be waking up from soon.
Yet the white-haired male's eyes were locked upon the blue-haired one, and they narrowed. He couldn't get to that damned kid with Juujika in the way.
"Separate."
He had to split them up.
"Sever their bond. Isolate them. Barricade. I'm going to stave off their power."

A soft dull thumping had pulsed silently to the blue-headed kitten as the priest held him protectively close, a silent beat that sent tiny vibrations into the flesh. As one wondered just what this was, the answer was all clear when that rhythm sped up.
"Then that is your mistake to underestimate your foe."
It was Father Juujika's heartbeat.
Soothing it was, comforting even in such confusing times, a link to salvation it seemed that pulse had become.
However...
Twin maroon eyes widened at the opposition's spell, a wicked little grin appeared on the teal-haired boy's face when he saw it, and the throbbing grew less and less prominent and harder to feel.
His arm loosened lightly around the boy's shoulders, struggling the teacher seemed to be.
"Ha ha ha!! Beat t'e faith outta t'at stupid priest!"
Anger burned in those burgundy eyes as their owner breathed heavily, what could help in such a bind?
"No," said Kaoru Juujika shakily, "I have and will always have faith."

The blue-haired boy looked up at his Fighter, blue eyes bewildered. How long would that last? Part of him believed the priest would go back to hating him as soon as this was over...
"Whatever, Juujika," the white-haired one spat out those words like a bitter poison. "Let's see how long that lasts."
His grey eyes shot daggers at Makoto. He was beginning another spell.
"Rip! Tear apart that stupid Sacrifice!"

As soon as he heard his opposition speak the words of the spell, a thought crossed the priest's mind, a very interesting thought. His grip loosened around the blue-headed Sacrifice and distanced himself, not even bothering to cast a defensive maneuver. Instead, those maroon eyes went straight at a joyful teal-haired boy.
"Nyah hah hah! You got 'em, Jun~!"
Little did they know what the mind if Faithless' Fighter was concocting.
"You have chosen to defile this place with your malicious intentions," said the dark-haired one softly, nearly under his breath, "and for that, punishment shall smite your putrid souls."
Father Juujika whipped his arm around and pointed a finger at the other Sacrifice and shouted one single word that shot a blade of blue light straight at the teal-headed kitten's throat.
"Execution!!"

Mako cried out as a scorching pain slashed into his flesh; the evidence was left behind as a glowing white chain shackled to his wrist, that he gripped at, stared down at with horror. Why didn't Father Juujika try to stop it?
"Heh," the white-haired boy smirked. Already a plan was forming in his mind.
"Barricade! Reflect!" Some sort of barrier, invisible but detectable, formed. "Send their hatred right back at them!"
The blue blade seemed to crash into the invisible force and bounce off heavily, rocketing toward the Faithless duo.

With an angry grunt as he watched the blade rocket back towards him, the priest threw out his arm, his hand slicing into the energy, stifling a cry as the searing burning pain ate into his wrist. A glowing chain appeared a few moments later.
He didn't even look back to his Sacrifice.
"Heathens," rage flared in the father's words, "you shall receive your just rewards! Smite! Plague!
Angry red sparks flew out from the dark-haired one's palm, buzzing like aggressed bees in the air as they harassed the opposition to no end, a great humming throbbing overhead. Waving wildly, the teal-haired Osakan let out a series of annoyed cries, swatting at the menacing red lights. "Da-daaammit!!" he moaned as pain bit into his free wrist and a shackle of light appeared.
Rubbing his own wrist, Father Juujika released a heavy breath, he realized how rusty his fighting had become after so long...
"Ando-kun," he used the momentary pause to speak to the younger boy, "are you in pain?"

“No,” Makoto eyed the priest, his gaze focused upon the other weakly. The pain had subsided when the white chain appeared, only to be countered by a dull stinging that erupted when it began to tighten. A frown curled at the edges of his lips. “I think I’m okay.”
“For now.”
The white-haired male looked absolutely displeased as his glare bore into the blue-haired child. They were tied now. He had to cause some sort of damage to that Sacrifice. Fast. A growl vibrated within his throat before those deadly words flew from his lips like cats’ claws.
“Off with ‘is head! Mutilate! Annihilate!” A strange, heavy force flew out at the Faithless duo, its energy as sharp as butcher knives.
And just in case…
“Defense! Full power!”

No, he could not let things end like this; he'd already promised he wouldn't lose long ago.
So, standing his ground, the priest threw up a hand against the oncoming assault, words leaving his lips shakily as he eyed his attackers.
"P-protection! Ward!"
It was no use; the barrier that did appear was far too weak to handle such an attack as it was torn to shreds, the energy reaching the unfortunate pair. Even in the midst of the onslaught, the poor Fighter tried once more to raise a shield.
"S-safeguard."
The effectiveness was slim, only blocking a few while the bulk of the attack hid home, sending the Father to his knees himself.
A wicked little chuckle left the lips of a certain teal-haired Sacrifice as he absent-mindedly nibbled on a cookie; those Faithless morons were finished so easily.
What a bore it had been...

Makoto could not help but cry out as the sharp force that pummeled into his legs. He wasn’t used to such pain, and this blow felt especially searing. The pain shot up his legs like wildfire as those glowing white restraints appeared, one for each leg.
The burning was still there. The burning was there, lapping at his skin mercilessly.
“You ready t’ give up, Juujika?” The white-haired Fighter gave a wicked little smirk. “Your sacrifice doesn’t look too good.”
“I’m fine,” the blue-haired one snapped, eyes burning and focused on the white-headed one. “Do your worst, okay? I can take it!” An odd sort of determination seemed to be possessing Mako’s spirit as of now, as opposed to the fear that had taken him at first.

Wiping his chin with the back of his hand, the priest rose steadily to his feet, eyes flickering over to see his Sacrifice; it was interesting how the boy's fright had dwindled away. It caused a thin smile to curl his lips, even when his thoughts were so grave.
"No, you heathen, we shall not give in."
Raising his shackled hand into the air, Juujika let his eyes slide closed as a strange wind twirled around his body.
"I find myself at the mercy of thy enemy, O Lord, forgive me for what I am to do..."
It was alarming what the older man was saying as the wind appeared around the blue-haired kitten, zapping away strength rapidly. It was apparent in the Father the same thing was happening to him.
With a weak voice, a great ball of energy appeared in his palm, "I give myself in order to defeat thy enemy! I smite thee!!"
The energy shot directly at their opponents as Kaoru struggled to keep standing.

Mako found himself helpless as he felt his energy being taken, all of it going into the priest’s next attack. It sent him to his knees, this weakness, and his vision began to cloud and fail. It startled him, to say the least, to suddenly feel so fragile.
The white-haired one smirked, seeming to anticipate this. He was sure he’d be unable to dodge this, but he did try to counter it.
“If They be His servants, then We are minions of Lucifer!” An evil look flashed in his eyes. “Let a plague of evil wash over them, then, and let them suffer for their ‘Holy’ ways! Pestilence! Destroy!”
A wave of energy locusts swarmed towards the Faithless duo, angry and wrathful in their wake. All Endless needed was one more blow to Makoto’s neck. One more blow and they would win.
