It was early evening – dusk. He had always loved it. The waning light, the reddish hue of the sky, the sounds of nature beginning to tire and prepare for its partial sleep, for it was always busy.
Dusk was the precursor to night, and night was when his kind did their dirty deeds.
The male stood at the edge of his craggy mountain home, illuminated by the decreased light as it splashed against him. By his kind, he was called ‘Niabi’.
He gave a cocky grin towards the sky, his stance wide-gaited and erect as he stood on bare feet, his flesh barely covered by skin-tight leather. So this was it? This was the world? This was what he was expected to explore, to reap the benefits of? If this was what it was like, he could only imagine the people inhabiting it. He had grown so accustomed to his mountain home; Satijut’s colorless expanses made seeing something so vivid seem humorously unreal.
Niabi spread his charcoal, bat-like wings, letting them catch the wind before he flew outward, the light glinting across his form and discoloring tanned skin, lavender hair, grey, spiraled horns. His tail hung from his backside, whipping about wildly from the rush of air that hit him.
To hell with it! If he was going to go around experiencing the world, then he wasn’t going to let a little disappointment stop him! He didn’t want to judge poor little Isylia without getting to know it, did he? If he was going to be promoted then this was the only way to start.

A loud shout interrupted the peaceful calm of pre-night, follwing the sounds of a miniature avalanche involving a few medium-sized boulders. Black eyes looked down at the rocks crashing down into a ravine, swallowing audibly as he turned back to his task, pulling himself up the steep, rocky hill one hand at a time. His shoulders quivered as he could just barely hear his followers, a pair of rouge bounty hunters to be precise. The man grimaced, pulling himself up onto a small ledge to take a short break, panting as he ran a hand through his black hair. Taking the tips in his clawed hand, he stared at the orange color, frowning as he curled a knee up to his chest.
Fucking goddamn bounty hunters, they can just go fuck themselves.
Growling, the man got back up again, rubbing of his pointed ears as he continued to climb. He was thankful a few minutes later when he couldn't hear or smell those pesky hunters. He sighed in relief, especially when he saw something a hundred yards up or so, something that looked like a cave or sorts.
"Yesssss..." he hissed to himself, climbing faster than before. Pulling himself up, the demon instantly ran into the cave, shuddering as a soft breeze of the early night air brushed past him on his way in.
Some hiding spot.
He swore loudly, standing on the outside of the cave, looking around as he narrowed his dark eyes. Then he looked up, seeing an even steeper climb, something he dreaded to even think about. It was when he was deciding on whether or not to climb it, did he notice a shape in the darkening sky.
He blinked once, twice, then a third time.
And swore again.
He was sure that whatever it was flying would be easily mistaken for, well, him by those damn hunters. So the demon did the first thing he could think of.
He whistled loudly, waved his arms, and shouted out to the retreating creature.

Niabi whipped his head around, ears pricked from the sharp sound of … a whistle? Had he forgotten something back home, like underwear? A weapon?
The next thing he heard was a some sort of explosion, as something whizzed upward and past him, startling him backwards as he gawked at the air. What the hell was that!? He peered downward, eyeing two specks upon the ground.
To hell with this! He may have wanted – needed – to explore, but he didn’t want to die in the process. The male turned and headed for home.
He hadn’t gotten that far from home, only a little over three feet, and already his mood was dampened by the outside world. There was nothing left to do but mope around at home.
His feet kicking at a few stray pebbles, he wandered towards his snug little cave, eyes downcast and half-lidded. Niabi was clearly upset, and, well, even moreso once he found some weird guy in his cave.
The male froze, fists clenching. First somebody attacked him, and now he was being broken in on?! “The hell!?” he snapped.

A heavy sigh of relief left the dark-haired male as he watched the flying figure return, a small smile breaking out on his face. When the other had been shot at, the fugitive feard for the worst, but as he watched from inside the cave as the lavender-haired being approached closer. He was, however, immediately met with a sour attitude. He realized, as he stood there, that it looked like he was robbing the cave, a look of embarrassment blossoming on his face as he shook his head.
"Uh, wait, what, no!! It's not what it looks like, really!"
With twitchy movements, the demon stood up, looking all around the cave as he raised his hands up, laughing nervously. "Seriously, I'm not trying to rob you, just looking for a place to hide."
Speaking of which, those black eyes went wide as he stared at the being before him, blinking in confusion. For a moment, he wondered a few things about the boy, like why was he dressed like a common whore? Why did he have lavender hair? How old was he? What kind of creature was he? Did he have wings too? The demon stood there, simply staring at the boy, running a mental marathon in his mind.
"... Wait a second... just what are you?"
He was far too busy to think about more...important things, especially considering how two certain hunters had seen certain being fly into a certain cavern, mistaking him for another certain creature.
"...Are you a boy? You look pretty girly."

The creature clicked his tongue, arms crossed, taking in the other male’s confession of innocence with little faith. Yeah, he was hiding, but when he came out of it, who knew if he wasn’t going to make off with what little the younger had? Niabi certainly had the right to be suspicious.
“Uh-huh.” he muttered. He may have been inexperienced, but he wasn’t stupid.
His brow knitted with offense when he noticed the older one starting to gawk. Who gave him the right to!? First he breaks into his home, and then starts to judge its owner? Like he looked any less strange!
“I’m an incubus!” he scowled. “What else do I look like?!”
To drive the point in further, he spun in place, showing off his small wings, his horns, his tail, his general appearance.
“See!?” Honestly, what other type of being lived in a cave in the mountains? Succubi were the only others, but he, unlike them, lacked feminine anatomy.

Scratching his head, the demon intruder stood there, staring, thinking. He just couldn't figure out the creature before him. Taking in a deep breath, the fugitive finally gave a big smile, laughing softly as he reached out to pat the boy on the shoulder. His grin was wide and foolish as he chuckled once more, raising that hand up to ruffle the lad's lavender hair. The strange demon then just simply...walked away, heading towards the entrance of the cave to look out at the night sky, seeing a few twinkling stars as he let out of soft sigh. Everything seemed so very calm, the black-haired demon completely forgot about the whole situation he was in. That is, until it crept up behind him, tackling him hard. The force of his attacker caused him to cry out sharply as both he and the hunter tumbled down the mountain, hitting rocks and ground as the two fell.
Two glowing yellow eyes blinked as they turned towards the cave, a feline nose sniffing at the air. The second hunter, a tall gray tabby cat looked inside the small rocky indent, mewing as he caught sight of the incubus boy, licking at his furry muzzle.
"Nyaaaah, what do we have here, hmm?"
Reaching into a pack at his fur-covered waist, the feline hunter pulled out a large net, folding it as he looked dangerously at the winged boy, laughing as he approached with the cruel intent to capture the other. "Not only did we land a big bounty, but we've got a nice little prize to go along with it too, nyaaah~!!"

At first, Niabi was certainly glad that the older demon had left. He was creepy; what had sent him into that laughing fit? All he had said was that he was an incubus, which was the truth.
He shook his head slowly, suddenly wondering if he would ever be able to understand those not of his own kind, and hoped that humans would be a bit more sane. The incubus then turned on his heel and began to retreat further into his home, before being stopped by an odd aura and a feline voice.
"Not only did we land a big bounty, but we've got a nice little prize to go along with it too, nyaaah~!!"
Niabi turned back again, startled and eyes narrowed. What was with everyone breaking in on him today!? He was no prize for anyone!
“Get out of here!” he snarled, fists clenching. “You’re not invited!”
Internally, he was fearful, particularly of that net. He had no real power in this world; the only influence he had was over the minds of mortals. Demons could easily resist his charms. He was helpless.
“What’d you do with that guy?” he demanded. He had to sound brave; the intruder was an animal of some kind and they could sense fear, couldn’t they?

"Nyaaahn~ There's no escape, little incubus, I'mma gonna getcha~!" That cat slowly closed in on his prey, claws kneading at the net as those fierce yellow eyes watched, waiting for the right moment to strike. His entire furry body tensed ready, prepared to lunge in attack, only to cry out with a catty shriek as he felt to the ground. The hunter's tail was clutched unforgivingly in that weird demon's hand, the man pulling on it fiercely. Although he was scratched up, lip bleeding, hair toussled, he seemed generally uninjured.
"Sorry about him, li'l incubus," laughed the man as he picked up the struggled cat by the scruff of his furry neck and tail...and threw him off the mountain to a rocky demise, joining his fellow hunter. Turning to the lavender-haired boy, the fugitive gave a stupid smile as he placed his hands on his hips in a cocky fashion, giving the boy a proud grin.
"Pretty good though, for two-on-one, I mean."
A laughter left the demon's bloody lips as he stared up into the night sky for a moment or two, before sauntering towards the cave, walking inside without a care.
"Hey, hey, li'l guy, can I stay here with you for tonight?"

“No.” His voice was flat in response. How could the other even think of asking? Niabi hadn’t the room or the hospitality to take in strangers. “Get out.”
It would have been best for him to be rid of the elder one anyhow; he had already brought too much trouble with him. Those attackers from before looked like hunters. Niabi barely had a reputation as it was; he didn’t want to ruin it before it even developed. His elders were pretty judgmental as it was.
Muttering to himself, he fled towards the depths of his cave, not once looking back to the intruder and definitely not caring.
“Idiot!”

"Wh-whaaaat?! You're kidding right?!"
A look of pure shock and dread appeared on the older demon's face as he stood, mouth open and gaping. For a moment, he remained like that, stunned into silence. He'd just saved this little bastard's life, and this was the thanks he got for it? Not even a place to stay for a nice, kicked out before he even got settled.
"Well, then," Shrugging his shoulders, the older demon cracked his knuckles, pulling out a sword from a brown leather sheath as he gripped the hilt tightly. "I didn't want to do this, kid, but I will kill you to stay here. So..." Walking deeper into the cave, Clythe held up his sword with a deep sigh, rolling his eyes as he pointed it at the younger male.
"If you don't want to have another hole for someone to screw, I suggest you be a good little boy and let me stay here for a bit."

What? He was going to kill him just for a place to stay? And he expected to be taken seriously after the way he had acted before? What kind of bull was that?
Niabi’s eye twitched; he really had a hard time taking the elder seriously. He snorted, lips quivering, trying to hold back the imminent laughter just in case Clythe really meant what he said.
“Fuck you.” A snicker escaped, before he waved his hand in dismissal and began to retreat once more.
The other had already wasted too much of his time.

Clythe sighed heavily once more; the stupid kid didn't believe him. "Alright then, don't say I didn't warn you." And then, the older demon charged, slashing out at the younger one across his front a few times, the blade moving at an ungodly speed. Once his attack was finished, he came to a stop, standing next to and slightly behind the boy, slinging the blade over his own shoulder. Surprisingly, there wasn't a drop of blood on it.
"Hnnn, maybe I shouldn't kill you," he muttered under his breath, turning his gaze to watch as the cuts he'd made in the boy's tight shirt, and shirt only, ripped open, the piece of clothing falling to the floor, "you are kind of cute in a spunky little bitch sort of way."
Reaching a hand out, Clythe gave the younger male's backside a tight, playful squeeze, groping the area as he laughed loudly.

Niabi never even saw it coming. As soon as he had seen the other rush forward, he froze in place, terrified. He hadn’t even the chance to shield himself, yet his eyes clenched shut to prepare for an imminent death.
And when it didn’t come, he was rather unhappy.
“What the hell was that?” He scowled, a bit too stupid at the moment to be grateful that he was still alive. The incubus folded his arms over his suddenly bare chest, barely becoming aware of what had happened. His eyes flickered to the sword the elder one held.
Ass!
“What are you doing to me!?” He bristled, before shoving Clythe away to get rid of that annoying hand rubbing his ass. The bastard! He was eager to start following his instincts, but he wasn’t desperate!
“I don’t know what you’re trying to do, but I told you do get out of here!” His hands clenched into fists, wings flaring outward and his aggression growing. “Get out!”

Clythe just laughed, staring at the younger demon with a devilish grin. "Oh? If I don't get out, what'll you do to me? Slap me? Shove me? Bite me? Psh, you're nothing but a little pussy, so just give it up and shut your trap."
Throwing a hand out, the older demon shoved the boy to the floor roughly, licking his lips as he planting his boot on the small of the boy's back, pushing down hard, but not painfully so.
"I plan to clear outta here at morning, kid, but if you're going to be a bitch about it, maybe I could stay just to spite you. How about that, huh?"

Niabi struggled helplessly under the other’s hold, furious and half-ready to kick the fugitive’s ass.
“Fuck you!” he cried, fingers clenching at the ground, his nails becoming caked with dirt. He wished he were stronger, able to fight the other off. He wanted to kill him! This wasn’t fair! There were so many other incubi he could have screwed around with, that would be glad to offer him shelter! Why not pick them!?
His body gradually relaxed from a lack of strength, and he settled down, lying there while emitting muffled growls.
If only he had the power…
